Hello guys, I hope you are doing great and keeping safe. I have been a little MIA, but trust me, this “work-life balance thing” isn’t easy at all. It got so bad that I didn’t even realize I wasn’t even resting well. For the past few weeks, my life has been work, come home, blink, and I’m right back at work. It got so bad that I started working on my off days. At this point, I started feeling so stressed and overwhelmed, so I decided to step back and reflect. The reality is work will continue if I break down, so I have made a conscious decision to chill, rest and live life.
If we are honest, many of us are consumed with work and struggling with this “work-life balance thing.” We get too consumed, carried away and overwhelmed with work that we forget to spend time with our families or even take personal time for ourselves. I know it can sometimes be challenging to balance professional and personal life, but it’s essential.
I have found prioritizing as one of the most effective and efficient ways to balance both worlds. It’s something I had to learn to do. First, I have learned to keep my time for myself and work time specifically for “work”. Secondly, I have learned to prioritize my “me time” to rest, sleep more, and have fun. Work can wait during off days! These are the principle that I have been working with, and they have helped manage my time and balance my professional personal life.
