It’s been three months since my last post. I guess it’s safe to say that I have been living my best life. In other words, ensuring I balance my work and private life.
Where do I start? I went to Nigeria from mid-May to June and had a swell time. I needed a break from work to address a few concerns back home. It was also perfect timing as my site was going through a ramp down for conversion.
I took advantage of the time to bond with family, friends and some fantastic people. I visited the beach and enjoyed a lot of local dishes as well. I got to meet new people and establish new relationships during my stay there. It was indeed worth it.
Shortly after I returned, I went on a work trip to Vancouver for three weeks. I took advantage of the opportunity to tour the city and Whistler Village. At Whistler village, I finally got the chance to get on a Gondola which took me up the mountain from peak to peak. I was a bit nervous throughout the ride, but it was beautiful. I saw Whistler’s massive mountains covered with snow. It was astonishing to see. I also saw an Olympic pedigree and took a tour through the village.
OH! by the way, the drive to Whistler was perfect. I believe it’s called the Sea to Sky highway. It is one of the most scenic roads I’ve ever been on. It starts with views of the sea into Vancouver and continues into Whistler’s steep mountains. I was in awe throughout my ride. Thank God I had a good playlist
I also visited Canada wonderland. I haven’t been there since 2016, so it felt so good to get on the rides again. I believe I was only able to do ten rides before I got exhausted from screaming with excitement, exhilaration, and fear. It was worth it. Honestly, i have been having the time of my life lately; working hard and having fun isn’t a bad idea after all.
I look forward to making more trips and having all the fun possible. Stay tuned.
