As humans, our greatest strength lies within us; our determination to succeed, our hard work and most importantly our mindset. All of these I believe makes up the Inner strength which pushes us day and night to persevere regardless of the setbacks and challenges we face.
Many people are aware of the need for self-improvement. However, often the emphasis is placed on external factors and not the inner strength. According to Mahatma Gandhi “strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will”.
There is only one certainty in life, and that is change. Circumstances arise, either good or bad. How we respond, especially to adversity, more often depends on our inner strength. Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger once said “Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is the strength.” This explains the need for our inner strength to deal with challenges, vulnerabilities and even when dealing with our day to day activities. Like we all know, life can be overwhelming sometimes.
Nonetheless, I will leave you with these kind words of Alana Stewart “No matter what kind of challenges or difficulties or painful situations you go through in your life, we all have something deep within us that we can reach down and find the inner strength to get through them.” Well, I think it is something you might want to think about. Have a lovely week.
