Quit comparing yourself with others.

In today’s blog post, I want to re-emphasize the importance of not comparing ourselves with others. I have become more aware that comparing myself to others can be a trap. Most significantly, with our lives consumed and driven by social media, it is normal and comfortable for us to ‘scroll’ through profiles, judging and comparing based on looks, appearance, and perception. It is indeed becoming second nature to want to know about and see into the lives of others, comparing it to our own. Though many people might not publicly own up to it, it is the reality for many of us. The truth is, this has fueled a lot of insecurity, envy, jealousy, and even pressure on many individuals. So, my dear, it’s a problem!

Please don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that we can’t get inspired by the lives of others. I am trying to say that comparing ourselves to people can eat up our energy, peace, creativity, and even our joy.

Well, I am here to encourage you today. Be you, be proud of how far you have come, and keep working hard. Your time will come. Things will align in due time. Don’t give up; don’t stop being consistent. Preserve and belief in yourself. You can do it, and you will get there. Please avoid comparing yourself with others. It is not healthy and will only bring you down.
