Mental Health! A topic often discussed and address in our society today. However, a lot of us still take it for granted. When we talk about Mental Health, we cover our emotional, psychological, and social well being. It affects how we interact, feel, think, act, and even the energy we put out.
So, if 2020 had its impact on your mental health in one way or another, today’s article is to let you know you are not alone.
This year was a rollercoaster for me. I was so overwhelmed with a lot, emotionally, mentally, and even physically. It took a toll on me. I lost some weight, and it didn’t look right. It was quite challenging. Nonetheless, things started getting better when I realize that I was losing myself slowly to my frustrations and problems. I had to get my act together.
First, let me start by saying that I’m excited I recognized the first step to getting better, which was realizing that I was stressing and getting depressed. In getting better, I eliminated every form of stress, stayed away from everything affecting me emotionally, psychologically and physically and then focused on me. Trust me, it worked! I have been in a much better place since then. I feel happier and at my best, and yes, I’m gaining my healthy weight back! Lol!
The essence of today’s article is to encourage anyone struggling with depression in one form or another. If I can do it, you can!
