The popular understanding of karma is that if you do good things, good things will happen to you, and If you do evil, bad things will happen to you. However, I would like you to think of it as the spiritual equivalent of Newton’s Law of Motion, which is “for every action, there is an equal or(but) opposite reaction.” We can also better understand it with Law of Cause and Effect which states that what you sow, is what you reap.
With this, I believe it is safe to say that Karma affects our lives; in fact, our life is the constant unfolding of Karma whether we are aware of it or not. However, most of us do not pay attention to the things we do, how we treat people, the negative and positive implications of our actions and the kind of energy we choose to put out. We fail to understand that the way we decide to live our lives determines our karma. Every action we take has a consequence, positive or negative. You get what you deserve: every good deed is rewarded, and no evil act goes unpunished.
One of the ways we can live a life that will attract good karma is living a good and honest life, solely acceptable to God. Also, we need to get rid of unnecessary baggage in our lives. I mean anything that ties us with negativity. In essence, all i am trying to say, let us put all our energy into removing negativity from our lives; whether it is within you or in your surroundings. Be in sync with your soul’s needs and you will recognize both the obstacles and the beneficial elements to your spiritual development. This is how I believe we can create good karma and attract the energies of happiness into your life.
