Change!!!! Change!! Change!

Why are we often resistant to change? I hope we are all aware of the fact that ‘change’ itself is constant. I know that sometimes, it may not be what we expect. It can also be unpleasant. In some cases, we initiate them based on what we think is best for us at the time. Nonetheless, one thing I know for sure is, regardless of how it comes, it is always for the benefit of our growth and maturity. This is because it will always come with experience, which in one way or the other can or might become life lessons for you and I.

I use to be very afraid of this word CHANGE, primarily because I get too comfortable with my space. However, since I started embracing its importance in my life, it has altered my mindset about it.

First, you grow and learn new things every time something changes in your life. You even discover new insights into different aspects of your life. You also learn lessons from moment and experience that did not lead you to where you wanted to be. You never know what it can bring your way. Though some can come with severe challenges and battles and this is because you do not live in a fairy tale world, and sad things do happen sometimes. Nonetheless, changes teach you to quickly adapt to new situations, new environments, and new people. It can also come with plenty of opportunities for you. Above all, it can bring new choices, lessons, happiness and fulfillment. It all depends on how you sail your boat.

In summary, change might affect the way you live your life, the environment you live in, the way you act or behave, it might enhance your experience, influence or affect the people you relate with and most importantly mould you. It even grooms you for the times when you have to make tough decisions. Some of us may not be aware, but going through it prepares us for the future and all the future might bring your way. Each ‘change’ is a turning page. It is about closing one chapter and opening another one. Change bring new beginnings and excitement to life. Open your mind to it, it might not be easy, but it is worth it in the long run.
