Happy new year guys! Sorry mine is coming late. Wow! We are in 2019, and I am most definitely grateful to God for 2018. Like I stated in most of my previous blog posts, 2018 was my year of growth. I learned so much from one year than I have ever learned in my entire life, honestly!
First, I want to thank God for the people he brought into my life this past year. God brought me helpers, teachers, and even disciplinarians. He gave me friends that have become family. I want to thank God for my immediate family and my amazing parents. Trust me they all contributed to whom I have become today.
Even more, this past year taught me to be fearless, bold, courageous, strong and prayerful. All of these wouldn’t have been possible without the positive support system that I will forever be grateful to God for.
I want to use this medium to thank God for teaching me to love, to forgive and to be patient. I am thankful to God for seeing me through tough times. I am grateful for limitations that gave me opportunities for improvement. I am also grateful for the mistakes, with which I acquired valuable lessons. I am thankful to God for covering me with grace and mercy. Lord, I’m even more thankful for walking before me through the dark forest of trepidation and for carrying me over the river of worry.
Trust me I have so much to be grateful for, and so do you. According to Plato “a grateful mind is a great mind, which eventually attracts to itself great things.” Take time to reflect on 2018 and all it had to offer; there is a reason to be grateful to God. We should learn to embrace the attitude of gratitude as we look forward to what this new year has for us. Have a pleasant weekend and a fantastic year ahead!
