Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers in Canada. A tradition I fell in love with since I arrived this country. It is a day set aside for a general thanksgiving to God for the bountiful harvest every year.
I believe it is that time of the year that we don’t only come together to eat and merry but appreciate God for everything he has done for us, and what he is yet to do. What are you thankful for? It could be life, family, friends, jobs or even the challenges that have allowed you grow and have made you a better person.
What are you thankful for? It could be life, family, friends, jobs or even the challenges that have allowed you grow and have made you a better person.
It could be for the roof over your head and the inspiration that sweeps you out of your comfort zone. It could also be the good examples that have inspired you to be your best, or it could be all the amazing teachers who have helped you reach your potential. What are you grateful for?
For me, I am more than grateful for God’s never broken promises, even though there have been delays, it has never meant or been denial. I am so thankful for having great support systems as family and friends to rely on. I am grateful to God that he hasn’t even me a reason to question life. I am even more grateful for his undying love for me and my family and even much more. So, I ask again, what are you grateful for?
As we celebrate with our families and friends, think about this. There is power in a thankful heart.
according to Melody Beattie “Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity…it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
